YOUTHS IN TA MALEMIA, ZOMBA GATHER FOR A GREENER FUTURE AS YASCON INTENSIFIES COLLABORATION IN CONSERVATION

The Youth Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (YASCON) continues to engage youths across the country to maximize conservation through collaborative efforts.

In Traditional Authority Malemia, Zomba, the YASCON Conservation Coordinator has been conducting a series of youth engagement meetings.

The organization targets to reach as many youth clubs as possible with the latest being an engagement with Taziwana Youth Club in Songani.The meetings aimed to introduce Yascon to young people and secure their support for conservation efforts starting at the grassroots level as one way of promoting a bottom-up approach to nature and environmental conservation.

A significant outcome of the meetings was the youths' commitment to build local ownership of conservation projects by working hand in hand with Yascon in all areas where it operates.
