YASCON IN ACTION — BUILDING GREENER, CLEANER AND HEALTHIER DISTRICTS! TOGETHER WE RISE FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT AND OUR COMMUNITY.
Through our ongoing nature and environmental conservation programs, YASCON District Coordinator for Nkhotakota, Martha Gowa, facilitated a powerful clean-up campaign today at Nkhotakota District Hospital.
Martha led a hardworking team in clearing clogged drains and thoroughly cleaning the hospital's labor rooms. This impactful effort was made possible through strong community collaboration with Ling'ona Youth Club, Tama Youth Club and dedicated hospital staff who joined in the effort.
Over 30 passionate participants turned up to roll up their sleeves and lead by example. The hospital Matron, Chikondi Ntaja, expressed heartfelt appreciation after seeing the transformation, noting how vital a pristine environment is for patients awaiting discharge and recovery. He was so moved by the energy and thoroughness of our youth that he had already invited the YASCON team back for another joint clean-up day.
Protection, restoration and conservation of our nature and environment starts right with our youths together with local institutions.
