A community engagement meeting was successfully conducted in Chilumba GVH Mponela under Traditional Authority Wasambo to discuss issues surrounding youth club creation and planning.
The meeting was facilitated by the Area Conservation Coordinator, Kennedy Nyirenda, and brought together key community stakeholders including GVH Mponela, GVH Mzangunya, the Village Development Committee (VDC) Chairperson and Secretary, parents, and youths from the area.
Discussions centered on the establishment of the youth club, its objectives, and the planning processes necessary to ensure its successful implementation and sustainability within the community. Participants emphasized the importance of creating platforms that empower young people and encourage their active participation in community development activities.
Community leaders and members expressed their support for the initiative and pledged to work together to ensure the successful formation and operation of the club.
The meeting recorded a total attendance of 57 participants, reflecting the community's strong commitment to youth development and conservation initiatives in the area.
